Biofa Terrace Oil 3753
Oil and resin treatment for outdoor wood decks; suitable for yellow pine, bankirai, robinia, oak etc.
Essential oils impregnate new, untreated wood and revive old, oiled wood.
Quick, easy application, penetrates well into the wood and protects it from moisture.
Instructions for use
Important: Carry out a trial application.
Mix pots with different batch numbers before application!
Do not apply in direct sunlight, as there is a risk of oil seepage or skin formation.
When applying indoors, ensure good ventilation!
- Substrate preparation: the substrate must be dry, solid, clean and absorbent.
Remove all old varnishes and lacquers.
Pre-treat greyed wood with BIOFA 2089.
Remove wood residues and finishes with a wire brush.
Allow autoclave-treated wood to stand for two months and remove any crystallization. Clean and revive heavily faded raw or oiled wood with BIOFA 2019 cleaner-outdoor and BIOFA 2089 degreaser. - Application: Stir well.
For the first application on untreated wood, apply 2 coats; on already oiled wood, apply 1 coat thinly and evenly.
Avoid puddles.
Do not apply below 12°C! - Maintenance: depending on exposure, maintain at least once a year.
Clean surfaces carefully with a high-pressure cleaner or brush.
Rinse off previously applied cleaners (moss, algae, dirt) with BIOFA 2019 cleaner. Remove unwanted greying with BIOFA 2089.
Then apply the terrace oil thinly and evenly with a roller or spalter and allow to dry. - Clean tools with BIOFA 0500 thinner immediately after use.
Drying
The oil is dry after 6 to 8 hours (20°C/50-55% relative humidity).
A second coat can be applied.
Delays in drying may be due to low temperature, high humidity, insufficiently dry substrates, abundant tannin (oak, chestnut) or exotic woods rich in essential oils.

Composition
Aliphatic hydrocarbons, castor oil and rosin ester, titanium dioxide, cobalt hexanoate, manganese octoate and zirconium driers, antioxidant. Contains propiconazole, terbutryne and octylisothiazolon.
Coverage
50-70ml / m² or 14-20m² / liter, quantity may vary according to porosity and roughness of substrate.
Storage
Store in cool, dry conditions, tightly closed. Remove any skin that forms in the can before reuse. Use a colander.

Caution! Soaked rags, clothing or tools must be placed in metal containers or in water and must not be left to dry on flammable surfaces - (risk of self-ignition!) The product itself is not self-igniting, but it is flammable.
Contains cobaltbis (2-ethylhexanoat) and the biocidal active ingredients propiconazol, terbutryn and octylisothiazolon. May cause sensitization by skin contact.

Recycling
Do not dispose of residues down the drain. Liquid product should be disposed of in paint containers or in accordance with local regulations. Small quantities and dry rags can be disposed of in household waste. Empty, dry packaging should be disposed of at a waste disposal center. Uncleaned packaging should be treated in the same way as the product.
