Instructions for use
- Substrate preparation he substrate must be dry (wood with less than 12% humidity) and free of grease and dirt. If necessary, clean with BIOFA 0500 thinner.
Final sanding with 120-grit abrasive (floor), 180-240-grit abrasive (furniture).
Use appropriate pads. - Primer: bProduct ready for use.
Apply thin, even coats using a short-nap velvet roller.
Furniture should be treated with a brush, roller or spray gun.
Highly porous surfaces, such as cork, alder and OSB, should be treated with a thick, evenly spread coat. Alternatively, a coat of BIOFA 3755 solvent-free Hard Primer can accentuate the structure of the wood and reduce the amount of solvent used. - Intermediate coat / finish:sand after 16-24 hours (floor) to 150-180 grain, 240 grain (furniture), then dust off and apply a second coat.
Very porous substrates may require an additional coat ofBIOFA 2055.
COLOROIL shades are finished with two thin coats of BIOFA 2055, which should be tinted with less than 10% COLOROIL.
Important: important intermediate sanding.
Mix cans of different fillers.
Test beforehand.
During application and drying, make sure premises are well ventilated and otherwise there is a risk of unpleasant odours.
Do not work below 12°C.
Spray application:
Goblet: 1-1.5mm nozzle, 2-3 bar;
Airless: nozzle 0.23-0.28 mm, 4 bar on 80 bar
Values to be adapted according to tools used. - Cleaning equipment: awith BIOFA 0500 thinner immediately after use.
- Surface care: with a soft, dry cloth.
Warm water with pH-neutral soap such as Nacasa BIOFA 4010.
Drying
Dust-free after 6-12 hours, sandable after 16-24 hours.
Light traffic can be expected after 3 days.
Through-drying and optimum strength are achieved after 7-10 days (at 20°C / 50-55% humidity).
Heat and draughts accelerate drying.
Low temperatures, high humidity, exotic or tannin-rich wood substrates and cork prolong drying time.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, tightly closed.
Skin may form. Remove before re-use.
Composition
Haliphatic hydrocarbons, castor oil, rosin resin ester safflower oil, silicic acid, micro-wax, aluminum silicate, succinic acid ester, montmorillonite, cobalt hexanoate, zirconium octoate and manganese driers, antioxidant.
Recycling
Do not dispose of residues down the drain. Liquid product should be disposed of in paint containers or in accordance with local regulations.
Small quantities and dry rags can be disposed of in household waste. Empty, dry packaging should be disposed of at a waste disposal center. Uncleaned packaging should be treated in the same way as the product.
