THE LIVING ROOM
How do you choose the right paint for your living room?
It's an often-asked question that requires the presentation of dozens of paints... And given that you probably spend a lot of time at home, you're naturally keen to make the best choice!
But Colorsquare offers a simple, detailed and fast answer.
The first question to ask yourself before applying paint:
Is my surface ready to be painted?
- No, it hasn't been painted yet, or I've made repairs and it's only painted in places.
So you need to start preparing the substrate with a primer or primer coat to regulate absorption and ensure good adhesion of the finishing paint.
WARNING - Before applying paint, always ensure that the substrate has been properly sanded and washed, otherwise the paint may not cling properly to the substrate!
We suggest the following primers, to be applied in one coat.
- Muroprim (High-quality, multi-substrate acrylic primer: can be applied to interior walls and/or woodwork).
- Printoprim (Affordable, entry-level primer for walls & ceilings only)
- Hydroprim (High-quality, insulating, multi-support acrylic primer. Interior & exterior)
A first coat of paint has already been applied, so the substrate is closed, clean and sound
-> You can now move on to finishing.
