These data apply to white and the recommended film thickness, unless otherwise indicated.
rain resistance will increase at lower temperatures.
Coverage
Practical
6 - 7 m²/liter
The practical yield depends on various factors, such as the structure of the substrate, the condition and shape of
the object, the application method, the experience of the applicator, as well as atmospheric conditions.
Systems
Pre-treatment: see "Substrate conditions"
System with opaque primer for facades
One coat Sigma Façade Prim Aqua or Sigma Façade Prim Syn
One coat Sigma Façade Topcoat Matt
System with pre-treatment, Sigmafix Universal
Pre-treat with Sigmafix Universal or Sigma Unigrund S
Two coats Sigma Façade Topcoat Matt
The number of finishing coats depends on the quality requirements, the chosen shade, the existing shade and
the nature of the substrate.
Substrate conditions
Untreated substrates
Neutral, dry and clean to a sound, coherent substrate.
Pretreat absorbent or irregularly absorbent substrates with Sigmafix Universal (dilution according to substrate, see data sheet 8205)
On porous, fragile and/or powdery substrates, pre-treat with Sigma Unigrund S (dilution with WhiteSpirit according to substrate, see data sheet 6020).
For further information on pre-treatment and/or fixing of walls and facades, see data sheet FI1333
Finishing an insufficiently dry (still alkaline-reacting) substrate can cause clogging and, in
extreme cases, alter the paint.
Old acrylic resin dispersion-based paint coats
Good adhesion, sound and clean.
Application conditions
Ambient and substrate temperatures must be between 2°C and 35°C during
application and drying.
Relative humidity of max. 90%. Substrate temperature must be at least 3°C above
dew point.
Good ventilation during application and drying.
Instructions for use
Stir paint well before use.
Brush/roller
Roller type: smooth surfaces ProGold anti-drip sleeve.
structured surfaces ProGold Proflor or anti-drip sleeve.
Brush type: ProGold serie 7700 Exclusive
Dilution: none, ready-to-use product
Cleaning solvent
Clean equipment immediately after use with water.
Safety precautions
For further information, consult the safety data sheet.
Additional data
Adhesion
Sigma Façade Topcoat Matt has excellent adhesion to both mineral substrates and high-quality dispersion-based
façade paints. Very absorbent or irregularly
absorbent and/or slightly powdery substrates should be pre-treated with Sigma Fix Universal (dilution 1:4).
Capacity
If the matt wall paint is applied to easily accessible surfaces, scratches may
occur to the touch, or glossier marks may be left by washing, and flaking may
also remain. Mainly visible in darker shades.
Storage
12 months minimum in a dry, cool, frost-free place between 5°C and 30°C in original, unopened
packaging. Do not store in direct sunlight.
